However, If you're the type who can't see the beauty in the
little pleasures of life, don't worry because there are a lot
of others things to do in Alhama De Granada.
1. Walk The Narrow Streets Of Alhama:
If you go to the tourist office, they'll willingly hand you
a map of Alhama De Granada with a suggested walking route. This
should be a good start to see the churches and old buildings
in the village.
2. Walk The Alhama De Granada Gorge:
Well, it's not as impressive as Ronda's but it sure is a fun
place to explore. The walk from edge to edge takes us about
30 minutes - 45 minutes (I could do it for a much shorter time,
but A2 is such a slow walker!).
If you want to do the whole gorge, you can start right at the
edge of the Arab quarter. The end of the route will take you
to little lake. If you walk a bit further down the road (away
from the bridge, about a 3-minute walk), you'll reach El Ventorro
and Pato Loco --- not a bad place for a munch.

3. Go to Bermejales Lake: About a
15-minute ride from Alhama, Bermejales lake is a haven especially
in the summer season. Want a good place to sunbathe? to swim?
to walk? to go sailing? Bermejales lake has the answer.

Lake experience. Go
4. Explore The Nearby National Parks:
If you're here for a walking holiday in Andalucia, you're in
one of the best places for a walk. The nearby Sierra Tejeda,
Alhama and Almijara Mountain ranges have lots of walking routes
that will satisfy any avid walker.
5. Cycling: You can rent a bike from
Alhama to go to the village or the national parks.
6. Visit Nearby Villages: Jatar,
Ventas De Zafarraya, Loja and Montefrio, among others.
7. A Daytime Visit To The Coast:
Nerja, Almunecar and Salobrena are only an hour or two away.
8. Visit Granada city and one of
the contenders of the new 7 wonders of the world, the Alhambra
Palace.
9. Relax at the Alhama De Granada Balneario
(spa place). This officially opens from June 10 to October 10.
