Photos From The Other Side Of The Gorge
Alhama & The Rolling Hills
Surrounding It
There’s an excellent view of Alhama from up the gorge! Even
with dark clouds and no sun, the village looked great. The imposing
castle, with it’s green tarpaulin destroyed the view, but
we expect it to look much nicer when they finish fixing it.

J2 & I did a proper real dog walk. But the
other three lagged behind, because A2 was taking too many pictures.
You can see how far she is from this picture below.

Now if you love gorge views and are not afraid
of heights, you’ll love this walk as well. Here’s
the bottom of the gorge from the top.

And what makes this gorge walk perfect??? Goats!!!
Believe it or not! Right there on top of the gorge! And not in
a pen. I wanted to scare them away to see how fast they run, but
J2 woudn’t let me. Bummer…

And of course, a view of the lake in Autumn.
Unbeatable!

At El Ventorro
Before we finished the walk through the gorge, we decided to
stop by El Ventorro, but nobody was dining outside, so we thought
it was closed.
It wasn’t.
Most Spanish people just don’t find it a good idea to stay
outside when it was cold and rain was imminent. But I was with
a majority of English people who would kill to sit outside with
what to them was a nice summer day!
So the humans prepared the table themselves for coffee and beer
and sat outside. The waitress was a bit dubious at first, but
we assured her she didn’t have to attend to us. She was
fine with that. She even gave us a tapa of 4 big grilled chicken
wings. Very dohlicious!
Walking Back To The Alhama De Granada Gorge
30 minutes left before home. I was beginning to get tired but
as soon as J2 unleashed me, I got all my energy back.
I went to explore the same bushes, the same trees, the same track
with the same enthusiasm as when I first walked this gorge. The
bottom of the gorge is always a nice long walk for me.
We stopped by the bridge for some cookies and cheese and I had
a little bit of fun in the water.
Here are some pics of the bottom of the gorge
