I'm not a big noise fan. So while he's getting himself ready
for the day, I go to the living room and sleep on the sofa.
I have a snooze while J2 does his morning routine of bathroom--shower--coffee-bathroom.
As soon as he opens the bathroom door, I get myself ready.
This means I'll have my morning walk very very soon.
Now, I love walks...Really love them.
But how J2 got the idea of a walk in the morning is beyond
me--it's dark, it's cold, and I'm still half asleep at such
an unholy hour!
I give in to his indulges though. But it never lasts for long.
After 5 minutes, I've just about have enough, so I tug him back
home.
7:00 : J2 sits in front of
the computer and starts working --it looks more like playing
to me. He doesn't move until 3:00 in the afternoon.
I go back to sleep...aaaahhhh...nice bed.
9:00 - 11:00 : A2 gets up
at about this time. I get up as well because this means breakfast
is just a few minutes away. It never is.
I wait for her outside the bathroom. But you know what girls
are like. It takes her ages to get herself ready. When she finally
comes out, I expect breakfast, but I never get it right away.
I'm hoping one of these days she'll finally get the point of
me waiting outside the bathroom. You have to be a bit patient
with these humans, you know.
She then has a coffee and sits outside in the balcony. I follow
her. Persistence is always a good weapon.
I sit right next to her, giving her an imploring look. She
doesn't budge. A tough one to train, this girl.
I always get tired of waiting, so I just look out into the
horizon. It's beautiful out there in the morning--the gorge
looks great and the goats sometimes come out.
10nish:
I like to fool around my beautiful Andalucian apartment
after a nice meal so that's what I do. I don't plan what game
to play but I always come up with something.
I often play with my red toy, throwing it into the air or barking
at it. Sometimes, I just jump and fool around on the sofa. The
most fun game is when I steal a shoe, wiggle it in front of
J2 or A2 and then run away. This cracks me up.
It always ends up with them calling me a bad dog. But I don't
care. I've had my fun.
11nish -1:00 : After I'm told
to calm down, I go to one of the balcony looking out to the
street. I like watching people and cats and dogs that pass by.
This is also the busiest time in our apartment--the postman
arrives, some fruit seller in his van stops by, the old woman
downstairs sits outside--so it's a busy time for barking.
I would prefer to take another nap at this time, but this is
the time when A2's moving things around, dusting, doing the
laundry and all that nonsense. So it's impossible to sleep anywhere
without her telling you to move.
1nish:
Time for my afternoon siesta.
3:00: I wake up at just about
this time. J2 finishes using the computer and it is A2's turn
to use it. There are lots of movement and talking at this time.
When they're finally both settled, I settle as well. I go back
to sleep. A2 gets crackin' on the computer and J2 relaxes out
in the balcony with a glass of wine and a good book.
4:00 - 4:30 : J2 takes his
siesta at this time when he's not enjoying his book too much.
I continue sleeping.
5:30: If J2. closes the bedroom
door, I sit right outside waiting for him to get up. If he doesn't
open the the door at about 5:30, I start to whine. When he still
doesn' do anything, I scratch the door. When that doesn't work,
I bark.
6:00 - 6:30: J2 gets up at
about this time and I get excited for my long afternoon walk.
I get ready and follow J2 wherever he goes. I think that if
I don't he'll either go back to sleep or leave without me.
6:30 : Finally
the highlight of my day: A nice long walk on my track.
My track is one of the best places in Alhama de Granada for
walking. I never get tired of it. I like it best when I'm off
my leash--I never used to do this in Ha Noi, but I regularly
do it here..Nice.
My walks are always very exciting.
I
chase birds.
Look for animals hiding in the bushes...
and just run...run..run...
Note: Once a week, all three
of us go for very long walks at this time which is something
I also look forward to
7:00 - 7:15 :When we get back
home, I go see A2 to check that nobody's kidnapped her. She
always asks if I saw a burro during my walk. EV-ERY-DAY.
7:15: I'm always tired yet
very satisfied at this time. I lie down in the living room with
the rest of the pack. J2 turns on the tv at this time, flicking
it for an hour until about 8:30 when his favorite tv program
is on. It's a game show and he's always rooting for the player
to win the 600,000 euros. He feels bad when they don't win.
9:00 : A2 & J2 have dinner
at this time. This means mine will follow. So I hang around
A2 to make sure she doesn't forget.
9:30 : We all go back to the
living room at this time. Then A2 works on the pc again. J2
watches tv or reads a book and I start to fool around--as I've
said, a full stomache does that to me. I do the usual tricks.
One of them usually plays which is a lot of fun.
11:00: By this time, I'm already
nackered and they're both still awake, so I just steal a little
bit of sleep.
11:30: J2 stands up and goes
to the bathroom. I'm excited again. Time for my last chance
to go out and do my business.
12ish : We all go to sleep.
Rufff....GRRrrrrr....Ruff...GRRrrrrr,
